Lindenwood is looking to start the season off right with a win over Belmont. Looking back to the previous season, in the 2023 campaign the Lions finished with a 3-13-1 record, and a record of 1-8 in OVC play. In the 2024 season, the Lions have added 12 new faces to the lineup. The Lions return Anna Johnson who was second on the team in points in 2023, with five, coming from two goals and one assist, Eyglo Thorsteinsdottir who was named as one of the OVC players to watch in the 2024 campaign, and Jordan Hollingsworth who registered 21 saves in four games in net for the Lions.
This will be the first time the Lions will match up with the Belmont Bruins. In 2023, the Bruins finished with a 3-9-7 record, and a record of 2-3-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), losing to Valparaiso in the first round of the MVC tournament.
