EDISON, N.J. — The Quinnipiac men’s soccer team was selected to finish sixth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the league announced on Wednesday morning.
In the annual polling of the league’s coaches, the Bobcats were picked to finish three spots higher than they did a season ago.
Iona was selected as the preseason favorite, receiving seven of the 13 votes. Rider and Manhattan rounded out the top three, with Rider receiving three votes and Manhattan garnering two.
Eric Da Costa’s squad looks to improve from a 3-9-5 record a season ago, returning their third leading scorer Francisco Ferreira as well as Junior goalkeeper Karl Netzell.
The Bobcats return to the pitch on Aug. 22, traveling to face Providence in Rhode Island at 7:00 PM.
