Where to Watch/Listen: Horse Racing Coverage Aug. 14-18

11

For the upcoming weekend in horse racing, the spotlight shifts north of the border to Woodbine for the 165th running of the King’s Plate Stakes. The first leg of Canada’s Triple Crown will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, as the anchor of a sensational day of racing at the Toronto track, enlisting 13 3-year-old Canadian-breds to compete at the classic 1 ¼-mile distance.

The King’s Plate and all other races at Woodbine will be shown live on FanDuel TV as part of that network’s comprehensive daily package. FanDuel TV is the go-to source for live racing at Del Mar in California and will also show races from tracks including Gulfstream Park and Ellis Park.

The marquee event at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday is the Alabama Stakes Presented by Keeneland Sales, which drew a field of eight 3-year-old fillies to also race 1 ¼ miles. NYRA-produced “Saratoga Live” will broadcast races from the Spa on FOX Sports channels from Wednesday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 18, with a three-hour bloc on Saturday shown nationwide on FOX. Check the below schedule for channels and air times during the five-day span.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.

America’s Best Racing is excited to present two livestreams produced on-site at Woodbine on Friday, Aug. 16 and then on Saturday, focusing on the King’s Plate and other big races at the track. Both livestreams will be hosted by ABR’s Dan Tordjman and Maddy Playle from Racing Post and will welcome special guests offering handicapping insights and discussing the pageantry of King’s Plate weekend. “King’s Plate Preview LIVE” has a tentative start time of 4 p.m. ET Friday, while “King’s Plate LIVE” has a tentative start time of 3 p.m. ET Saturday. Both shows will be streamed on ABR’s Facebook, X, and YouTube channels.
