PHILADELPHIA – La Salle Field Hockey head coach Michael Warari has finalized the coaching staff for his first season at the helm of the Explorers. Warari is bringing on three new members to the staff, while a former member is returning to La Salle in a different role.
“I am thrilled to welcome all of our new hires to the La Salle field hockey family,” Warari said. “Each of them brings a dives scope of knowledge that can help our team and student-athletes grow and compete at the highest level.”
Shayna Landis comes to 20th & Olney from Franklin & Marshall College as one of the new assistant coaches to the staff. Landis was an assistant at F&M from 2019-21. In the 2019 season she helped F&M to one of the program’s most successful seasons. The Diplomats were ranked as one of the top Division III teams in the country that set five individual program records and finished the season as the national runner-up. The coaching staff for F&M that year received NFHCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year accolades.
“It is a great honor to collaborate with Michael (Warari) and the coaching staff to further build and strengthen this team,” Landis said. “I look forward to getting to know each player individually and supporting them during this formative time as student-athletes.”

Polyviou helped the Cardinals to a successful 2022 season, one in which they made their first Mid-Atlantic Conference Tournament appearance since 2019. Prior to her time at Ball State, Polyviou spent the 2021 season as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg where she helped seven players to be named to the 2021 Fall All-Centennial Conference Team.
