KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In conjunction with the Mid-American Conference, the Western Michigan men’s basketball team has announced its conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
For the first time since the 2020-21 season, the Broncos begin their conference slate within the friendly confines of University Arena. Western Michigan welcomes Toledo to town for its MAC opener on Saturday, Jan. 4, then is at home again on Jan. 7 against Bowling Green.
WMU hits the road for the first time in the league on Jan. 11, as it travels down to Oxford, Ohio, to take on Miami. The Broncos then visit Kent State on Jan. 14 before returning to Kalamazoo for back-to-back home tilts against Buffalo (Jan. 18) and Northern Illinois (Jan. 21). Western Michigan closes out the month of January with visits to Central Michigan (Jan. 25) and Ball State (Jan. 28).
The Broncos begin February with their lone meeting of the season against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 1). On Feb. 4, Western Michigan travels down to Athens to take on Ohio. After hosting a to-be-announced Sun Belt Conference opponent on Feb. 8 in the second game of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge, the Brown and Gold hit the road again on Feb. 11 to battle Akron.
WMU returns to Kalamazoo for three of its final four games of the month, starting with Miami on Feb. 15. Following a trip to Buffalo on Feb. 18, the Broncos are back at home for rematches against rival Central Michigan (Feb. 22) and Ohio (Feb. 25).
The final week of the regular season sees Western Michigan play two of its final three tilts on the road, beginning at NIU on March 1. WMU’s final home game of the regular season is slated for March 4 against Kent State. The Broncos close out the 2024-25 regular season on March 7 at Bowling Green.
The 2024-25 Mid-American Conference Championship is set for March 13-15 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
