QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John’s women’s basketball program unveiled its 11-game non-conference slate on Monday.

The out-of-league schedule features 11 opponents from eight different conferences including the ACC and Big Ten. The Johnnies will play six home games and five road contests during the non-conference portion of their schedule. Over the last two seasons, the program is 11-1 in non-conference games at Carnesecca Arena.

In honor of the program’s 50th anniversary, season tickets are available for $50. To purchase click here or call 1-800-GO-STORM to reserve your seat today. Game times and broadcast information will be released at a later date.

St. John’s will open its 50th anniversary season on Nov. 4 against Saint Peter’s at Carnesecca Arena. The Red Storm have won seven-straight home openers and are 11-1 under Head Coach Joe Tartamella.

Later that week, the Johnnies will hit the road for the first time making the short trip to Brooklyn to face LIU on Nov 8. The two faced off in last year’s season opener as the Red Storm routed the Sharks, 81-44, on Nov. 6, 2023.

The squad will continue its three-game road stint on Nov. 13 when it heads to Baltimore to take on Loyola Maryland at Reitz Arena. The two programs met for the first time ever during the 2023-24 campaign with St. John’s tallying a 71-49 victory at Carnesecca Arena.

The Red Storm will close the road trip with a visit to Rhode Island on Nov. 17. The Johnnies will visit the Ryan Center for the first since 2011 to face the Rams, who advanced to the Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship last season. In last year’s meeting, St. John’s fended off a 12-2 fourth quarter run to down URI by double-digits, 55-44, in Queens.

17 days later, Coach Tartamella’s group will return to the friendly confines of Carnesecca Arena on Nov. 21 to welcome Marist. The Red Storm outlasted the Red Foxes in last year’s low-scoring affair, 50-40, in Poughkeepsie. Skye Owen led the stout defensive effort with six steals, including five in the opening half.

On Nov. 24, St. John’s will host Stony Brook for the 12th meeting between the two programs. The Seawolves are coming off a 28-4 campaign in 2023-24 and are led by first-year Head Coach Joy McCorvey, a four-year captain for the Red Storm from 2006-2010.

Four days later, the Johnnies will wrap up their three-game homestand on Thanksgiving Day with a tilt against Harvard. The two programs last met seven years ago in the WNIT Second Round, where the Red Storm downed the Crimson, 62-57.

For the third time in the last four years, the Red Storm will showdown with Penn State on Dec. 2. The team will make its first-ever trip to the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa. to take on a Big Ten opponent on the road for the first time in seven years. The Lady Lions are coming off their winningest season in a decade and advanced to the WBIT Semifinals in 2023-24.

Six days later, St. John’s will return home to meet a second-consecutive power conference opponent in Wake Forest on Dec. 8. The two squads will meet for the fourth time overall and the first since 2019. The Red Storm topped the Demon Deacons in the last meeting at Carnesecca Arena, 82-74, on Nov. 22, 2019.

On Dec. 11, the Johnnies will head to Long Island to battle Hofstra for the first time in 11 years at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Center in Hempstead. St. John’s leads the all-time series, 17-2, dating back to its first-ever season in 1974-75.

The Red Storm will conclude its non-conference slate on Dec. 15 when it faces Fairfield in Queens. The Stags are fresh off a historic season, boasting the second-best winning percentage in NCAA Division I (93.9%) and trailing only the undefeated National Champions in South Carolina.

Following the 11-game non-conference schedule, St. John’s will play an 18-contest BIG EAST slate, which will be released in the fall.
