Race 3 #1 Marais $2.60
3YO gelding who was unlucky to not win in his first preparation.
He threw the race away on debut when wayward in the straight, before going down a nose (0.1L) at Gosford.
His final run of the preparation was a solid third and connections decided to spell him to let him mature further.
He now returns to the races after two solid trials and looks very well placed in this provincial maiden.
Josh Parr goes in the saddle and can use the gelding to find a prominent position in running early.
If he can get a soft run near the speed, he is going to be awfully hard to beat.
Race 7 #9 Twin Turbo $5.50
It was a great performance from this 5YO last start at Grafton.
He finally broke through for a deserving victory after consecutive placings and there is no reason he can’t go two on the bounce here.
Zac Lloyd who rode him last start retains the ride and from barrier 5 he should find the front here comfortably.
Look for him to give plenty of cheek in the straight.
