TROY, Ala. – Fresh off its first-ever postseason victory and historic WNIT Fab 4 appearance to end last season, the Troy women’s basketball program announces its 18-game 2024-25 Sun Belt Conference schedule.
A date at James Madison opens the schedule for the Trojans on Dec. 29 with their second-ever trip to the Atlantic Union Bank Center, looking to take the series lead after splitting it 1-1 in Trojan Arena to continue their nine-game win streak in 2024.
2025 opens in Trojan Arena as the Trojans invite Coastal Carolina (Jan. 2) and defending Sun Belt Regular Season and Tournament Champions Marshall (Jan. 4).
The following weekend, the Trojans trek up the mountains to face App State on Jan. 9 before heading back south to the Peach State on Jan. 11 to face Georgia State with hopes of avenging the buzzer-beater loss from last season.
In-state rivalry awaits the Trojans on Jan. 16 as they return home for game one against South Alabama. Then, Troy looks for redemption from its early exit in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as it battles the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana on Jan. 18.
Troy’s longest SBC road trip follows with four straight, starting at Texas State on Jan. 23 and following with Louisiana (Jan. 25), Arkansas State (Jan. 30) and Southern Miss (Feb. 1).
On Feb. 5, the women’s basketball team invites Old Dominion to Trojan Arena, searching for its first league win over the Monarchs before pausing the SBC schedule with the second MAC-SBC Challenge at home – opponent to be determined.
Sun Belt play resumes on Feb. 13 and Feb. 15 with back-to-back in Trojan Arena against Troy’s fellow WNIT members ULM and Southern Miss.
One final road trip comes at ULM on Feb. 20, with game two at in-state rival South Alabama’s Mitchell Center (Feb. 22).
The regular season concludes at home with Texas State and Arkansas State on Feb. 26 and Feb. 28, respectively. An 18-game SBC schedule culminates on March 4, where the Trojans aim to survive until March 10 in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Nov. 4 remains the season opener as the Trojans travel to face Buffalo in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
