EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the 2024 Women’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll and Preseason All-MAAC Teams in a release via social media. 

Niagara has been picked in the top-four of the league’s preseason poll for the second year in a row as the leagues 13 head coaches selected Niagara to finish fourth in 2024. Two-time defending MAAC Champion Quinnipiac was picked first with a total of 10 first-place votes. 

In 2023, Niagara finished the MAAC portion of its schedule 4-4-2 overall, punching its ticket to the MAAC postseason for the seventh-straight season, before falling to Mount St. Mary’s in the first round. 

A total of 17 Purple Eagles return from 2023 while Niagara welcomes in 11 newcomers to its roster in 2024. 

Niagara will open the season on Aug. 15 when it hosts Saint Francis for a 5 p.m. tilt at Niagara Field. The Purple Eagles open MAAC play on Sep. 7 against Mount St. Mary’s.
