Pinak Anap and Abhijeet Ranade made significant strides in the Western India Billiards and Snooker Championship, winning their third-round qualifying matches to secure spots in the main draw. Anap, from Pune, constructed a break of 46 points in the opening frame to defeat Mumbai’s Khushal Galaiya 4-2.
Ranade also impressed by making a 52-point break in the first frame and eventually overcoming Mumbai’s Yash Babani 4-2. Both players advanced, showcasing their skills and determination in a highly competitive field.
In another standout performance, Krishna Tohgaonkar rolled in a 79-point break to overpower Mumbai’s Sharad Sharma 4-0 in their senior snooker second-round match. Gujarat’s Parth Shar defeated Nikhil Bhansali to move into the third round, adding to the excitement of the championship.
