Ruston, La. – The Louisiana Tech Soccer team was recognized for their performance in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year this week as the Bulldogs earned the United Soccer Coaches (USC) College Team Academic Award.
This marked the 17th consecutive year LA Tech has received this honor that annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
The Bulldogs, led by head coach Steve Voltz, were one of 253 women’s collegiate soccer programs to earn the Team Academic Award. It is given to teams with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
United Soccer Coaches was founded in 1941 and is the largest community for soccer coaches in the world.
