Mumbai’s Manoj Kasare displayed grit as he secured a 4-3 victory over Ashish Gore in the first round of the Western India Billiards and Snooker Championship. Despite some tight frames, Kasare emerged victorious with scores of 52-18, 79-35, 35-61, 30-72, 69-27, 45-82, and 61-46.

Another notable first-round match saw Neil Gudiwalla outplay Nishit Majmudar 4-3 with a series of competitive frames ending in 53-28, 30-60, 58-63, 68-54, 53-41, 11-54, and 53-34. In the second round, Yash Babani eliminated the seasoned Manav Panchal 4-2 with scores of 56-14, 69-40, 56-35, 36-67, 39-48, and 66-35 after an initial 3-0 lead.
