Remco Evenepoel survived a scare to secure his second gold at the Paris Olympics.
Evenepoel suffered a puncture to his back wheel in the closing stages of the Olympics men’s road race but still managed to prevail after calling for another bike.
Belgian star Evenepoel previously prevailed in the time trial.
On this occasion the 24-year-old was mainly competing with Valentin Madouas of France.
Despite the difficulty that he endured late on, Evenepoel managed to win by one minute and eleven seconds.
