Conway, Ark. – The Central Arkansas men’s golf team has put out its schedule, with ten tournaments on the slate before competing for the ASUN Championship in the spring.
“I am very excited about this upcoming season, I feel this schedule includes some great opportunities at some great courses,” Head coach Jay Rees said of the schedule. “Some of these courses have hosted NCAA Regionals and Championships, along with PHA Tour events. This should help our guys prepare to with the ASUN Championship.”
The Bears will tee off for the first time on September 16th, playing in the Kansas State Invitational. The tournament in Manhattan, Kansas is the first of two Power Four tournaments on the schedule, and the first of five fall events.
October is a busy month for the Bears, as the team will play in four tournaments in four different states. The first of which, spanning the last day of September and the first day of October, is in Denver, Colorado. The next week, the Bears will be in Wichita, Kansas, and Little Rock the next week. Central Arkansas wraps up the fall in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Central Arkansas picks up play again in February, playing Houston, Texas at the Rice Invitational. March starts with the Stetson Invitational in Daytona Beach, Florida, then ends with the Memphis Invitational in the Bluff City. The Bears will head back to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the Missouri Invitational, an even the Bears placed second in last year.
The ASUN Championships are set for April 21st-23rd in Valdosta, Alabama. Central Arkansas had its best finish at the event last year, placing second.
