Birmingham Phoenix ended a run of 13 straight defeats in the Hundred women’s competition with an Ellyse Perry-inspired victory over Trent Rockets.
Australia’s Perry struck a brilliant 66 off 34 deliveries to help the visitors post 139-3 at Trent Bridge.
The 33-year-old then took 1-10 off 10 deliveries and a stunning catch on the long-on boundary to remove Rockets opener Bryony Smith.
England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt hit 59 off 37 balls to lead the chase but was caught attempting a ramp shot off the bowling of Charis Pavely late in the innings.
Heather Graham finished unbeaten on 30 to ensure a close finish, but could only slice a two with six needed to win off the final ball.
