WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Head Coach Carli Figlio of the Monmouth University Field Hockey Team has announced the addition of Cameron Kinsella as Assistant Coach ahead of the 2024 season.

“We are very enthusiastic to bring Cameron in as a member of our staff,” Figlio said. “She brings high levels of excitement and aptitude to the team. She will be a great addition in our quest for another successful season.”

Kinsella joins the Hawks after spending the last three seasons playing at Brown, where she appeared in 35 career games. She tallied four goals and nine points playing midfield for the Bears, and she left the Ivy League school as the team’s 2023 recipient of the John L. Danforth ’52 Award which is given to the “player who makes a substantial contribution on and off the field. Often the unsung hero, providing support to all teammates, staff, family and friends.”

She cracked the Brown roster after a dominant high school career at West Essex Regional where she helped lead her team to back-to-back state titles in 2018 and 2019. When her high school career finished, she was a NFHCA Third Team All-American, NFHCA All-Region, and three-time First All-Conference honoree among many more individual awards.

A Fairfield, N.J. native, Kinsella graduated from Brown with a bachelor’s degree in psychology concentrating in entrepreneurial studies in May 2024. In addition to her athletic and academic success, she also provided leadership in community areas, such as being a member of Brown’s The Hidden Opponent Chapter where she represented the field hockey program advocating for and raising mental health awareness among college athletes. Kinsella brings experience in coaching and social media marketing with time spent on the staff of the NJ Grit Field Hockey Club Team in the summer of 2020.
