I’m siding with the locally trained GOODWOOD ODYSSEY for David Menuisier. He’s blinkered for the first time and I like the way he travelled at Newmarket last time out. He ran a nice race in the London Gold Cup behind King’s Gambit and that’s solid form.
This race is for fillies and I like FAIR ANGELLICA, who represents a bit of value. Ryan Moore was on board when she won at Deauville and her style of racing could suit this.
AESTERIUS is a worthy favourite and he’s got a good draw in stall 10 as you want to be drawn high. He’ll take a bit of beating.
I was all over Rosallion after his Irish 2000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes wins, however, he’s a non-runner now. Instead, I’ll side with NOTABLE SPEECH, who beat the original selection in the 2000 Guineas earlier this year.
I’ll forgive his poor run at Ascot and I’m hoping he’ll bounce back to the level of his Guineas win.
Elladonna has Ryan Moore on board and she’ll be favoured in the market but I’m siding with ROARIN SUCCESS. He’s a bit of value and he has an each-way chance. The Goodwood track should suit him as well.
COTO DE CAZA won last time out at Beverley and she’s getting the hand of things. She’s the one to beat.
