PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (WTOK) – A jockey was injured in a horse race at the Neshoba County Fair on Sunday.
Jordan Goss was participating as a jockey in a race at the Neshoba County Fair on Sunday when his horse ran off the track.
He was the only one injured, the horse was okay.
Goss was airlifted to UMC in Jackson for medical care with a broken back, several broken ribs, a broken nose, punctured lung, and multiple lacerations.
News 11 reached out to the Goss family this morning. They say he is in stable condition and doing well given the condition he is in. They welcome the community’s prayers and well wishes in his healing process.
We have reached out to the Neshoba County Fair coordinators but have received no statement at this time.
