COEUR d’ALENE — Former NHL star Brenden Morrow shot a 27 to win low gross honors at the 10th annual Showcase golf exhibition on Saturday at The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course.
Morrow, who also won in 2017 and 2016, edged former Washington State and Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien by three points for the gross title.
Morrow was second in the 2023 event.
Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper was the low net winner with 30 points, beating former NFL and Portland State quarterback by one point.
Alliant Insurance Services 2, which included former Seattle Seahawks placekicker Stephen Hauschka, Jeff O’Neill, James Welsh and Patrick McLaughlin, won the team title with 88 points.
The event is a fundraiser for the Community Cancer Fund, which has raised over $28 million in its history.
