Olympians tell us what sports they would love to see in the Olympics
Could we ever see dodgeball in the Olympics? What about darts? These are some of the events that US Olympians would love to see in the Games someday.
If you’re a Jessica Pegula fan, you can sleep in Saturday.
Pegula and her partner, 20-year-old Coco Gauff, will take on the Australian duo of Ellen Perez and Daria Saville in the first round of doubles matches Saturday at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. But it won’t be among the early matches.
Olympic women’s tennis
Qualifying round (doubles)
Date: Saturday, July 27
Time: 10:30 a.m. (estimate). Pegula/Gauff vs. Perez/Saville is the fourth and final match on Saturday on Court 14 at Roland Garros Stadium. It’s difficult to estimate when the first three matches will finish, but the one prior to Pegula and Gauff’s isn’t expected to start before 9 a.m.
TV: Channel 10 (Olympic coverage 5 a.m.-6 p.m and 8-11 p.m.)

Qualifying round (singles)
Date: Sunday, July 28
Time: Pegula is expected to face Swiss tennis player Viktorija Golubic. Sunday’s lineup of matches schedule won’t be set until Saturday night, but play begins at 6 a.m.
TV: Channel 10 (Olympic coverage 6 a.m.-6 p.m. and 7-11 p.m.)
Streaming: Coverage begins at 6 a.m. on Peacock and NBCOlympics.com
Second round matches: Begin 6 a.m. Monday
