BRONX, N.Y. – The Fordham men’s basketball team has rounded out its 2024 recruiting class with the addition of Kingston Price, it was announced today by Head Coach Keith Urgo.
“We’re so excited to welcome Kingston and his family to Fordham,” said Urgo. “Kingston is a high-energy, hard-nosed player from a winning high school program who will fit in perfectly with our team and our culture.”
Price joins the Rams from Severn School in Severna Park, Md., where he led the Admirals to a 24-5 record and a MIAA ‘B’ Conference title, the program’s first in 31 years. A First Team All-County Selection by Capital Gazette, Price averaged a team-high 17.5 points to go along with 4.0 rebounds per game. Price finished his high school career with 1,279 points.
The 6-foot-2 point guard excelled with New World Basketball on the adidas 3SSB circuit.
Price will join a Fordham team that is entering its third year under the direction of Head Coach Keith Urgo. In his first two campaigns at the helm of the program, Urgo amassed 38 wins, good enough for the second-highest two-year total to open a coaching career at Rose Hill behind Johnny Bach, who won 40 games in 1950-51 and 1951-52. Following a 25-win season in 2022-23, his first leading a Division I program, Urgo was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
The Rams return 61.6 of their scoring from last season, the second-highest total in the A-10 behind VCU.
