MAAC Reveals 2024-25 Men’s Hoops Slate

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced the 2024-25 men’s basketball schedule via social media Thursday morning.
 
Niagara will play a total of 20 league game with two games against eight of its 12 conference opponents while playing Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Iona once.
 
The Purple and White’s league schedule is highlighted by four home games over the first five conference games, including their MAAC opener against Siena on Friday, Dec. 6. Niagara will also host MAAC newcomer Merrimack (Dec. 8), Saint Peter’s (Jan. 10), and Rider (Jan. 12) during that stretch.
 
The Battle of the Bridge will be renewed in downtown Buffalo on Friday, Jan. 31 and again on Tuesday, Feb. 12 when Canisius comes to Monteagle Ridge.
 
The Jan. 31 road game at Canisius is the first of three games away from the Gallagher Center, NU’s longest conference road swing of the season that will see the Purple Eagles travel to Merrimack (Feb. 6) and Quinnipiac (Feb. 8).
 
Niagara’s final home weekend of the season will take place Feb. 28 and Mar. 2 when it takes on Iona and Manhattan. The Purple Eagles will end the regular season on the road for the second-straight year as it travels to Saint Peter’s (Mar. 6) and Rider (Mar. 8) during the conference’s final weekend.
 
The Purple and White will look to reach the MAAC Quarterfinals for the fifth-straight season during the MAAC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Atlantic City, N.J. March 11-15.
