MAAC Announces 2024-25 League Slate

EDISON, N.J. – The MAAC women’s basketball conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-54 season has been revealed, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, July 24.
 
The Bobcats open league play with their home opener on Thursday, Dec. 19, as Quinnipiac welcomes Rider to M&T Bank Arena. QU will hit the road for their first time in MAAC play as they will travel to MAAC newcomer Sacred Heart (Dec. 21). QU will return home on Jan. 2 to take on the Saint Peter’s Peacocks before battling the Marist Red Foxes on Jan. 4.
 

Quinnipiac will then travel to take on Siena (Jan. 9) before returning to Hamden to host Iona (Jan. 11). The Bobcats will travel to another new MAAC opponent, Merrimack, on Jan. 16 and host Mount St. Mary’s on the 18th of January.
 
After two straight road games, at Rider (Jan. 25) and at Fairfield (Jan. 30), the Bobcats will be back in Hamden on Feb. 1 to take on the Siena Saints.

The Bobcats home MAAC dates are:

Dec. 19, 2024: vs. Rider
Jan. 2, 2025: vs. Saint Peter’s
Jan. 4, 2025: vs. Marist
Jan. 11, 2025: vs. Iona
Jan. 18, 2025: vs. Mount St. Mary’s
Feb. 1, 2025: vs. Siena
Feb. 13, 2025: vs. Sacred Heart
Feb. 22, 2025: vs. Manhattan
Mar. 1, 2025: vs. Merrimack
Mar. 8, 2025: vs Fairfield

The Bobcats will head up to Buffalo to take on Canisius (Feb. 6) and Niagara (Feb. 8) before they host in-state rival Sacred Heart on Feb 13.

After traveling to take on Iona (Feb. 16), the Bobcats will meet the Manhattan Jaspers in Hamden for a battle on Feb. 22. QU will then head to Jersey City for a matchup with the Peacocks of Saint Peter’s (Feb. 27) before welcoming Merrimack to Hamden for their first time as a member of the conference.

QU will close out the 2024-25 regular season on the road at Mount St. Mary’s (Mar. 6) and at home against Fairfield (Mar. 8), before heading to Atlantic City to compete in the MAAC Women’s Basketball Championships at Boardwalk Hall.

Head Coach Tricia Fabbri, the all-time winningest coach in Quinnipiac women’s basketball history, recently completed her 29th season as Head Coach at Quinnipiac. Fabbri enters the 2024-25 campaign with 516 career wins, ranking 25th among active Div. I head coaches.
