SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Summit League officials released Tuesday a list of nearly 1,800 student-athletes that have been named the Academic Honor Roll. The list includes students from all nine full-time member institutions and seven associate members competing in 17 different sports.
The University of North Dakota earned a total of 197 honors, the fifth most in The Summit League, with a total of 172 student-athletes earning the accolade. The 197 honorees are the most earned by UND student-athletes since joining the Summit League, passing UND’s 2022-23 mark of 173 honors by 14. After this past academic school year, the Fighting Hawks have now had 32 consecutive semesters with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average by the entire department.

Qualifications
Student-athletes must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average (GPA), on a 4.0 scale, for the year awarded.
Student-athletes must have used a season of competition (a year of athletic eligibility) in the sport in which he/she is nominated.
By The Numbers
A total of 1,809 student-athletes across 17 sports were named to the honor roll.
For the third straight year, St. Thomas headlined the honorees turning in the most total selections and total number of student-athletes.
The Tommies led the charge with 269 total selections while South Dakota (245) and Omaha (221) rounded out the top three teams with the most selections.
St. Thomas’ 243 total student-athletes paced the League and were followed up by South Dakota’s 221 and Omaha’s 205 total student-athletes, respectively.
