BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Summer and swimming lessons go hand-in-hand.
But it usually takes quite a few volunteers to make those classes possible. High school students have been helping children who have disabilities take swimming lessons at the BSC Aquatic Center since July 22.
Legacy High Senior Braxton Steele said this is his second year volunteering.
“Well, I like swimming – I’ve always been swimming – so, it’s really fun to be with these kids and help them out. I just think it’s really fun to see them smile and learn how to swim,” said Steele.
The camp finishes on July 26.
